BBQ Marinade - Beef


Materials:

11/3 tbsp. packed brown sugar

1 tbsp. vegetable oil

1/3 cup each cider vinegar and catsup

1 tbsp. water

3/4 tbsp. oregano

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. each garlic salt and pepper

 

Prepare:

Cook brown sugar in oil in a small saucepan over medium heat for about 3 minutes.  Stir in vinegar, catsup, water, and seasonings.  Continue cooking over medium heat 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Remove from heat and let cool thoroughly before adding beef.  Yields about 1/4 cup.

Marinate beef in the morning or the night before at least 6 hrs., but not more than 24 hrs.  Grill beef over medium heat.

 

Serve:

Serve beef with vegetable, rice and red wine.  I like steamed broccoli or carrots and rice pilaf.
